Img2ozf GPS Port Checker Introduction This is a simple program which scans the ports on a PC looking for an attached gps. These Types of GPS are searched for: Garmin • a Garmin USB GPS attached to a USB port. • a Garmin serial GPS with the interface in the GPS set to Garmin mode (in older models this is called 'GRMN/GRMN Host' mode), the GPS must be connected to a serial port (also known as a Com port). • a Garmin GPS with the interface in the GPS set to 'NMEA Out' mode, the GPS must be connected to a serial port (also known as a Com port) and must be outputting NMEA data. Magellan A Magellan GPS must be configured to output NMEA data • a Magellan USB GPS in 'USB File transfer mode' attached to a USB port.
