Samsung seems to take this crazy region bastardry very seriously for some reason. For people from other parts of the world, all region codes are as follows 1 – 2 9 3 3 4 2 – 5 7 5 3 8 3 – 5 6 7 3 2 4 – 7 6 8 8 4 5 – 5 3 8 1 4 6 – 2 4 4 6 2 But again these are hacks and do not come with a guarentee that they will work out with all devices. Region code hack posted by Mp5, November 25 2013: I can confirm the following hack worked with my Samsung Bluray BD-D6500 which was purchased in Australia as a region 4 player. Note that the firmware was the most up to date when the hack was applied on 2013-11-20, I don't recall what version exactly, but it was certainly more recent that the v1012 that some users were concerned this hack didn't work for any longer.

I know I've not been on the forums for ages but a new family stopped my play-time in my home cinema. My old BluRay player failed and that meant a new one. Label Matrix V7 02 02 Lz009 there. I got (as the title suggests) A Samsung BDH6500 and so far it's very good. My only issue now is that I want to play some region 1 discs (Not got them yet - they're being brought homr from the States in late August for me, special editions that are not available in the UK) and so I want to unlock the region coding before I get them in my grubby mitts! Are there any model specific codes/hacks for this model?
