Install Xp On Hp Compaq T5000 Reset
Hello, i bought a couple days ago a few thin clients from somebody. These has still their password on it for entering the bios. All thins are from the T5000 series.
Dous anyone know how to remove this password? / or clear all setting to default? - i searched for a reset jumper, but didnt found it. Only one jumper is near the audio output, but i guess that isnt the one i'm searching for.
- kept out CMOS battery for a few minutes, didnt help (maybe i must take it out longer?) thanks in advance, S Drosaert. Hello stefandrossaert, Normally, just removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes will reset the BIOS to the default settings. I have read where it can take several minutes before you reinsert the battery. Since these series are getting a little age on them, it might be worth replacing these CMOS batteries, especially if these systems have been out of service for a while. The default Administrator password is case-sensitive with a capital 'A'., but may not work as others have suggested. Hope this helps.
I can't reset my HP t5000 to factory settings. I can't reset my HP. Sorry to read that you are having trouble resetting your t5000 factory settings. Troubleshooting Guide HP Compaq t5000 Series Thin Client. Installing Remote Installation Services. T5700 XP Embedded/IE 733MHz 192/256R.
Reboot the thin client. While the auto logon process is displaying the logon countdown, press the Alt and F4 keys simultaneously.
This will display an alternate logon screen. Once there check here: If that doesn't work try pressing F9 on boot - this is supposed to reset to factory. If all else fails download a new image here. Make a bootable flashdrive and restore the image. One last possibility. You can pull the battery and wait for the CMOS to clear. Download Free Content Encoding Programs For Kids.
This should at least allow you access to CMOS and the ability to reimage. Hope this helps. Hello Btet, sorry to read that you are having an issue with your HP thin client.
